Everyone in the greater Philadelphia area is tired of the winter, we haven’t come across one sane person wishing for a little more snow. Officially it was the 2nd snowiest winter since they started keeping records in Philly. However, putting the weather aside there is one true sign of spring year after year and that is the heating up of home sales.
Our team at Real Estate Around Philly feels that 2014 is off to an excellent start.
This past weekend we had three of our properties go under contract in Manayunk, East Falls and the Northeast.
“If you are a buyer this is a great time of year to start taking in open houses or to call me for personal tours of properties,” Jen Colahan, creator of RealEstateAroundPhilly.com said. “For those thinking of selling this year, it is never too early to get in touch to find out what you should be doing in preparation.”
Colahan also helped a buyer put a new construction purchase in Pennsport and a foreclosure in Roxborough go under contract this week.
“Now is the time to take advantage of the many opportunities that are out there for both buyers and sellers in the current real estate market,” Colahan said.
