Do you have the right color palette?

What do color and real estate have in common? Well, if you want to sell your house for top dollar, we would say a lot!

Not only do the colors painted on your wall help sell your house but so does your furniture color and overall lightness or darkness of your house. If you really want to get top dollar for your house, the color and design palette should be current and modern because people don’t just want to picture themselves living in the house, they want to achieve style and a new lifestyle. A good way to do this is to decorate with “on trend” colors

Check out a few trends in color, which you can easily use for interior design inspiration.

1. Pantone’s color of the year is… well, there are two colors this year.

Using these colors to appeal to and attract those buyers “in the know” and those who want to be impressed by the latest design ideas, as well as ones that don’t want to do a lot of painting when they move in.

2. Use color trends from the fashion runway.

Designers such as Michael Kors and Ellie Saab can show an all green runway show and many other clothing companies will be sure to quickly produce more green clothing. Check out some 2015-2016 winter color trends and then go shopping for cadmium orange throw pillows, with some amethyst orchid curtains, and some metallic lamps.
